WORK SCHOOL SMARTER, NOT HARDER

School assemblies and showcases bring the school community together. These are a few issues I repeatedly experienced during my teaching years:

1. Old school sound and lighting systems require a crew of teachers to run the systems, which often became a problem as they'd have to have their classes covered, disrupting the teacher and their students.

2. Sometimes there wouldn't be a dedicated hall, so we'd have to lug the heavy audio and lighting system to the gymnasium and set it up for a school assembly. This a risk to staff Work Health Safety. After that we would have to run sound and light checks, making it a very time consuming process. Then we'd have to pack it all down and lug it back into storage.

I believe schools should work smarter, not harder.

The solution is having our custom automated SMART SOUND+LIGHT system, no rehearsals are required because everything is automated. A flick of the switch will turn on the pre-set light settings and auto-mix music and vocals. Then there's the added bonus of renting your hall out to the community knowing failsafes are built into the system preventing damage.

In under an hour teachers can learn how to use the SMART SOUND+LIGHT system. We also provide LIGHT+SOUND teacher professional learning programmes and workbooks.

PODCASTS & PROJECT BASED LEARNING

Project Based Learning is a great way to engage students, especially when it has a real world connection. Podcasts are a wonderful way to inspire students to research, write and speak about their passions and views on life. Make STEM inspiring for our next generation with a state of the art podcast recording studio. Revolutionise the school newsletter with a school podcast! Create our next social media stars with a custom built podcast studio. As a teacher myself it's amazing to see students grasp the technical aspects of a podcast recording and see them create, record and edit podcasts for the school community and families to enjoy.

NazCast is a brilliant example of a school embracing Podcast Project Based Learning:

'New to our College in 2022, is the Podcasting Program for students in Years 4-6, run in partnership with Arch D Radio & Podcasting. Students with a passion for Digital Technologies have been meeting for sessions after school once a week at the Findon Campus to plan, storyboard, script-write, interview and record their very own podcasts. Encouraged to pursue their interests and follow their passions, each group of 'podcasters' have chosen topics from the depths of their wildest imaginations - from sporting moments and funny cat videos to book reviews and nostalgic childhood memories. Learning how to "hook the listener" has been a big focus of the sessions led by James Meston of Arch D Radio. Students have journeyed through the process as content writers and planners, who have learnt how to execute ideas with professional equipment to facilitate audio recording and editing. Students have also learnt about publishing ethics including copyright'.

Schools Spectacular - photo courtesy of The Arts Unit NSW Govt.

We all know 'the Schools Spectacular is a world-class arena production and one of the most significant annual events of its calibre anywhere in Australia and arguably the world. From its ability to produce national and international stars to its role in promoting inclusiveness and reconciliation, the Schools Spectacular has no peer'. - The Arts Unit NSW Govt.

To foster and inspire students and teachers' creativity a school needs to provide the right equipment. We specialise in audio visuals - creating tailor made automated sound and stage light installations to add that wow factor to any assembly, performance or school showcase.  Make the ordinary extraordinary with our SMART SOUND+LIGHT systems with a simple push of a button! Eliminate the need for a teacher to be fully trained on a complicated light and audio system.

Great lighting and audio is the back bone of any performance, inspiring student and audience engagement. As a 15 year experienced High School & VET Entertainment teacher I can say that our performances and school showcases were spectacular with beautifully crafted light shows and perfectly mixed music and vocals. Students (especially those with stage fright) thrived when the spectacular audio visuals were added to their performances. It gave them a boost of confidence knowing that their performances looked comparable to what they'd seen on the TV of their favourite singers and dancers.
